Research

We coordinate and conduct research, literature reviews, and focus group discussions that address health, socio-cultural, economic, psychological, and other related issues in order to sharpen the thinking of aspiring young filmmakers and audiovisual experts to produce films and other media products of positive values. We also coordinate and conduct research and focus group discussions on social and economic impacts of film and television production and distribution in Ethiopia. We investigate and device methods to produce low budget-good quality movies and other audiovisuals; we research effective distribution systems including exhibition, retail sales and rentals, television broadcasting, festivals, tourism and more. Furthermore, we study and coordinate effective methods and tools of audience development for socially conscientious films, TV movies and other forms media and arts in Ethiopia. Our research products will be printed or published online.
